The Last Sup(per)

In honor of the South we made fried chicken for the last supper. There were many ingredients involved and we didn't know if the vital wheat gluton was instant or what and the poor kid in the bulk section of City Market was trying his best to help us (refilling the paprika and all) but he wasn't a "bulk person" so we just kinda wung it. Back at the house, the wheat gluton fell on the hairy floor and Ryan was pouting cause he wanted a breast but we couldn't shape the stuff into a breast so they were more like nugs. Good thing too cause after the nugs soaked up the broth they were huge and scary. They had to simmer for an hour meanwhile Chris was stirring them every 10 minutes (as instructed) and everytime he took off the lid I ran over to stare at the nugs cause they looked so weird! We forgot the gravy so C and I went back to City Market. Our cashier noticed we were both wearing rem shirts (unplanned mind you) and he says "you guys must be big rem fans" to which i replied "it wasn't planned." Chris bought me 3 packets of gravy because it was my special day. I was in charge of the potatoes. It was a hot chicken box in the kitchen and I was sweating and miserable as I mashed. I looked and felt like a milkmaid and i may have wet myself a little. All in all I think it took 2.5 hours to make dinner and about 10 minutes to eat. We kept eating and eating and talking about eating. The biscuits were the best part I think. We moaned for like an hour afterwards and then watched the Dark Crystal. Then we ate apple pie with with other treats and then I went home. Ryan ate all the nugs. I'm leaving Burlington first thing in the morning. Goodbye to my Vermont home.

Shelburne Falls

This week I went to Shelburne Falls with the fam. Emma has this baby that she calls "fat baby". She was crying because she couldn't find "fat baby" before we left. We found her. Then she got a catepillar and fat baby took a back seat. Phil insisted on wearing his best Hawaiian shirt. He was also wearing an Aussie hat but I told him one or the other. He chose the shirt. The natural Pot Holes were weird. We walked on this bridge of flowers. It was cool except they wanted donations and my Mom was like "that's ridiculous", then we turn around and Phil's stuffing a 20 in the donation box.I found out Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have a house in Pioneer Valley which is pretty close to my parents house. Kim was on the cover of some local magazine at the information center and some old lady made me pay a quarter for the FREE magazine.

the fastest bug I ever saw

THIS crawled out of my drain as I bent over to spit out the toothpaste this morning. It tried to bite me and I almost shit my pants and then it ran back into the drain. It's waiting for me. How many of these have crawled into my mouth as I sleep? Or even worse my butt when I pee? This is what drives my fears....

patch

I'm finally making the moth patch bag. Well Jaime is making the bag but I am hand sewing the patch. It should be done next week. For now we're working on my Mom's bag for Mother's day. It's so cool that I want to keep it. I'll post that on Friday before I leave for the weekend. If it's done. It's supposed to be. Oh my god I have to go to bed I have a shoot in the morning even though I quit that job 2 weeks ago...

still cold

This is a picture of my favorite thing in Burlington, the hippie porch dog. I love him.

Yeah I don't care what these idiots think. You still need a sweater here. This tank and mini deal in the 50 degree weather makes me feel weird. I am still COLD.

oh FYI- Cingular put a restriction on my phone because I make 50 % of my phonecalls out of thier network. This is a new policy so I'm in the process of getting them to pay for my cancellation fee. It's not going to well. We're gonna have to call the FCC. As far as I know my voicemail still works and I can make phonecalls as soon as I cross over the Vermont border but until then friends, email. It blows. Also I don't know how to check my voicemail from a regular phone because I am halfway retarded.
